There are an increasing number of interpretations of the Cloak of Conscience in pictures and texts. David Punter is Professor of English at the University of Bristol. He compared the representations of Pity over the centuries, from Michelangelo’s Piétà to Anna Chromy’s Cloak, accompanied by a beautiful poem on the Cloak.
