Я родилась на берегу реки Молдава, которая связывает мой родной город Чески-Крумлов и Прагу, поэтому я – дитя города. Красивые замки эпохи Ренессанса и церкви в стиле барокко оставили свой след, когда я была маленькой девочкой. Когда нам пришлось покинуть нашу страну, моим последним и самым эмоциональным моментом расставания с родными краями было прощание с друзьями на знаменитом каменном Карловом мосту.
Моя молодость прошла в Зальцбурге и Вене в Австрии, в итоге оставив меня с родным языком и паспортом для жизни в новом объединении стран, носящим название “Европейский Союз”.
Младшая из четырех сестёр, я была единственной, кто унаследовал художественный талант моего отца. У меня всегда имелась привязанность к его музыке и она оказала влияние на первые произведения моего творчества. Хотя я начинала с черчения и рисования уже с самого раннего возраста, моя семья не имела достаточно средств, чтобы отправить меня в художественную школу. С обучением пришлось подождать, пока я не переехала с супругом в Париж. Целый новый мир поразил меня – Париж, так называемая “Цивилизация Франсез”- с писателями и философами-экзистенциалистами, иностранными художниками, такими как Дали и Пикассо, выбравших “Город Света” в качестве своего дома. Потрясающие воображение ощущения и чувства переполняли меня, и я должна была преобразовать это в картины. Поэтому я решила поступить в Школу изящных искусств и в Академию «Гранд-Шомьер», расположенных близко друг к другу на левом берегу реки Сены.
Вскоре, в связи с моим трехмерным способом рисования, мои преподаватели попытались перенаправить мою творческую деятельность к скульптуре, но безрезультатно. Я хотела рисовать и больше ничего. Но, какое бы влияние я не получила в Париже, наследие художников Центральной Европы вскоре стало проявляться. Сюрреализм Макса Эрнста, Рене Магритта и Сальвадора Дали – моей первой большой любви в живописи, постепенно уступил место более иллюзорному подходу, с использованием мягкой колористики, подобной стилю Тёрнера, близкому к чешским и словацким художникам и Венской школы “фантастических реалистов”.
Но жизнь непредсказуема и бывает жестока. Так случилось, что тяжелая авария помешала мне рисовать картины в течение шести лет, и я, имея темперамент, который не позволяет бездействовать, наконец решила попробовать творить в скульптуре. По воле случая к тому времени у меня был возведен дом на Лазурном берегу Франции недалеко от итальянской границы. Таким образом, центр скульптурного искусства во Флоренции и Карраре был в непосредственной близости. В Италии у меня сразу возникло ощущение встречи с частью моих корней – со страной с сильными религиозными убеждениями, где жизнь – это сцена, изобилующая художественными сокровищами.
Жизнь циклична. Красота являет себя почти мистическим образом. Древняя Греция и Рим, эпоха Возрождения и барокко Медичи, Римские Пантифики – всё это, казалось, призывает меня к следующему: “Анна не смягчайся и не уступай; борись со злом и уродством через одухотворенную красоту. Вернись к корням Европы, к древним мифам и спасению через Господа нашего Иисуса Христа”. Мои скульптуры – “Плащ Мира и Сознания”, “Вызов” или “Олимпийский дух”, “Превращение Эвридики”, “Сизиф” и “Улисс”, все части выставки “Пересмотренные мифы”, впервые показанные в Национальном археологическом музее в Афинах и современная интерпретация мифа, выраженная в скульптуре “Европа” свидетельствуют о моих убеждениях.

Honours

Anna Chromy has been showered with honors and distinctions over the course of her long career, such as the Michelangelo Award in Tuscany and the Prague 1, Dali and Kafka Prizes in Prague. She is a Honorary Fellow of the National Sculpture Association of China in Beijing and she has shown her works in prestigious places.

Anna Chromy’s life as artist in chronological order

Anna Chromy has been showered with honors and distinctions over the course of her long career, such as the Michelangelo Award in Tuscany and the Dali and Kafka Prizes in Prague. She was made an Honorary Fellow of the National Sculpture Association of China in Beijing and she has been invited to show her works in prestigious places, such as Place Vendôme in Paris, and major museums, such as the National Museum of China in Beijing. Anna Chromy has the largest number of sculptures (50) permanently installed in public locations all over Europe and in China.

2017
