On November 18th, 2003 former actor and founder/president of “People for People”, the renowned charity for Aethiopia,
was honoured through a bronze portrait created by Anna Chromy.
The sculpture was a gift of his wife Almaz for his 75th anniversary.
The beautiful event, attended by many leading figures of Vienna`s artistic and social society took place in the impressive
entrance hall of the Museum of Natural History.
Results from SOFA Chicago 2003, Oct. 17-19 Navy Pier
Vivendi Gallery from Paris showed at SOFA 2003 for the first time several
sculptures of Anna Chromy in the U.S. The reception was very positive, with better than expected sales and a great
curiosity from the public, especially the younger ages. Thus the students who invaded the show on friday morning for
a field study voted the
"Dancer” of Anna Chromy the most interesting piece at the show. A virtual auction developed for
the acquisition of the model of the memorial for the World Conciousness Center on the former World Trade Center site in New York,
an auction won by a collector from Chicago.

Opening of the new equestrian center

Lago Puccini, Augst 24th, 2003
This years Puccini Festival, in
this magic place where the composer had his home, should have closed with a ballet whose
inspiration and costume designs were created by Anna Chromy. Unfortunately, the play called "Pieta for Butterfly" will be postponed until next summer. Anyway, on August 24th a presentation of the costumes and stage settings designed by Anna Chromy and a gala dinner will take place in Torre del Lago.
