Anna Chromy`s „ALCYONE“ lands on Cathedral square in Pietrasanta, Tuscany.
The themes of Anna Chromy's work, as described under "concepts", are
based on mythology, music and dance and her religious beliefs. In the Year of Mozart 2006 the music aspect is of particular importance, because Anna Chromy is the only artist who has cast a complete Mozart opera, the Don Giovanni, in bronze. Visit these sculptures under sculpture locations in Prague and Salzburg, buy a small version at the OperaSacra online arts store, or participate in the "Coat of Peace" project (www.chromyfoundation.org), a Commendatore/Piétà in white Carrara marble 5 metres high.
