They have been united, together with other elements in the project for the "Memorial on Ground Zero" in New York.
The project consists of the following elements:

• Two raised forearms as a reminiscence of the twin towers. They rise to the sky in hope and this upward movement is reinforced through the upward spiral along the surface in which could be inscribed the names of the victims.
• The hands on top of the two columns hold our fragile globe in a protective movement. Into the globe could be integrated images of the children of this world - our future.

• At the bottom of the two columns a memorial taking the form of the empty coat of a woman mourning her children. It symbolizes the sorrow and remembrance for the victims. The floor in glass will house the eternal light of remembrance - we shall never forget. The memorial will be normally closed, and open only for official ceremonies. Fixed to the wall of the memorial will be the helmet of a New York fire - fighter, - a symbol for the heroes of the tragedy.
• From the globe rises the protective body of a women towards a better future free of hate and fanatism. The memorial will express the triumph of hope over desperation. Of good over evil.
